Silvia Kolbowski’s 2019 film brings together different dystopias in a mashup of two science fiction films from either side of the 20th century. Follows the subject under capitalism from industrialisation to digitisation, Kolbowski employs the editing process to re-animate the past, recreating the form of group psychosis that – arguably – underpins all capitalist endeavour.
