Keiken is a collaborative practice co-founded in 2015 by artists Tanya Cruz, Hana Omori and Isabel Ramos. Using motion capture tools and digital-avatar building, the metaverse film Bubble Theory (2022) takes place 500 years in the future. Here, morphogenic angels use the Uber 3000, a self-driving car, to experience a form of simulated therapy. Keiken imagines a speculative future conscience where the ego no longer grows arbitrarily. Instead, it spreads out, divides and merges - like a bubble.
